General FAQs

  • Yes — we love children and have found that they are enamored with the house and grounds! We think that the Dogwood Suite or Maple Suite are particularly well suited for families.

  • Yes — we can accommodate two dogs (under 50 lbs) in the Oak Room. The room is decked out with dog bowls, and there is a separate entrance so your four-legged friend has easy access to the grounds. We do ask that you pick up what your pet has left behind. There is also a $25 non-refundable pet fee.

  • Yes — the Oak Room is handicap and wheelchair accessible. It is located on the first floor and has a wheelchair access ramp to access the parking spots, along with a roll-in shower and grab bars next to the toilet.

  • Yes — Three Pines uses a key code system, so you can check in anytime after 4:00 pm. Check out is at 11:00 am.

  • We do not have a front desk or concierge, but our director, Becca, is a Petersburg native that lives a stone’s throw away. She can answer any questions that you may have.

  • We have two living rooms, library, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, outdoor spaces and several fire pits. We are also an event space, so there may be an event in one of these spaces during your stay. If there is, we will be sure to let you know!

  • Yes — you can rent the entire house, which sleeps up to 26 people. If you need to accommodate more, please reach out to us; there are other options in Petersburg that could work for overflow. If you would like to host an event along with providing accommodations, there is a rental fee based on the size and complexity of the event.

  • We are located in a residential neighborhood and guests share access to the common areas. So Three Pines observes quiet hours between 11:00 pm and 9:00 am.

  • The kitchen is appointed with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster. We also have silverware, glassware, pots, pans, plates, and bowls. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, and other cooking necessities that you can help yourself to.

Events FAQs

  • Three Pines has hosted a little bit of everything — retreats, photoshoots, reunions, bridal showers, anniversary parties, and birthday celebrations.

    We have expansive grounds, a rustic barn, and, of course, the house itself, so there are a lot of options to accommodate your event. We would even love to host your intimate wedding here!

  • Yes — we can accommodate two dogs (under 50 lbs) in the Oak Room.   • For smaller events, Three Pines has tables, chairs, and a limited amount of plates and silverware available for your use. For larger events, we can recommend event companies for these items. In addition, you will have access to the kitchen and its top-of-the-line amenities.

  • Yes! You can book the barn, the grounds, the library, the dining room, or the two living rooms for your event. The guests that are staying overnight normally have access to the common areas, but we would communicate with them in advance of the event to ensure there are no surprises.

  • For a wedding, we recommend that you book the entire house the night before in addition to the night of. This will give you, your bridal party, and out of town guests a place to relax before the festivities, and you can use the grounds the day before your wedding for setup.

    For other events, we encourage you to work with our director, Becca, to figure out the details.

  • While we have preferred vendors that we are happy to recommend, you are welcome to use the caterer, bartender, photographer, entertainment, and event planner that suits your taste and budget. However, we partner with Signature Event Rental for linens, tables, and chairs. They are locally owned and operated, plus, they are familiar with our space.

  • Renting the whole house is for accommodations only. If you wish to host an event, there is a rental fee depending on the size and complexity of the event. Please reach out to us and we can go over the details.

  • We are in a residential neighborhood, so Three Pines observes quiet hours from 11:00 pm until 9:00 am. So we cannot accommodate all-night dance parties (unless they are silent discos).
